Skywork AI Open-Sources Matrix-Game 4.0: Real-Time Video Game Rendering on Single RTX 5090

October 15 — Kunlun Tech today released Matrix-Game 4.0, the world’s first video large model game running on a single consumer-grade GPU.

According to Kunlun Tech, “Matrix-Game 4.0 establishes a new paradigm for game world models: the game engine maintains world state and interaction rules, while the video generation model renders high-fidelity visuals in real time. It delivers a 480p, 60 FPS real-time gaming experience on a single NVIDIA RTX 5090; from key press to visual response, latency is under 150 milliseconds. Matrix-Game 4.0 is the first to achieve a complete closed loop of ‘code-generated game logic → structural frames providing structural constraints → real-time rendering by the video model,’ offering a truly viable technical path for game prototyping, personalized customization, and UGC (User-Generated Content). The project has been open-sourced simultaneously.”

IT Home noted that Matrix-Game 4.0 was open-sourced upon release.
